Minnesota has a long-standing track record in the area of nanotechnology in both academia and industry. The Institute of Technology at the UM is a top-15 recipient of federally awarded nanotechnology research dollars and has state-of-the-art nanofabrication and synthesis capabilities. Integration of nanotechnology into the medical sciences (‘nanomedicine’) will be critical for the development of new medical applications, from translational– bench to bedside – science to new commercial markets.
The goal of the Third Annual Minnesota Biomedical Nanotechnology Workshop is to continue to make connections between those physical and life scientists in academia and industry that are developing nanotechnology for the betterment of health in Minnesota. Jointly presented by the University of Minnesota NanoBiotechnology Initiative and the Mayo Clinic, this workshop is free to attend but registration is required.
